Contenu
This course first provides a brief introduction to the study of the Middle English language and its main dialects. After a general historical and cultural survey of the period, it considers several texts representative of the wide variety of literary genres used between 1150-c.1450. Students will be asked to work in small groups to offer brief discussions on several aspects of the language and literature of the period.
