Objective

Examination and identification of rocks and fossils in their natural environment. Interpretation of their geological record.

Content

The excursions associated with the course "Introduction aux sciences de la Terre" give participants the opportunity to visit regions of geological interest in west Switzerland, and to examine igneous and sedimentary rock successions, their structures , ages and their value as a source of information on the history and evolution of the Swiss Alps and Jura Mountains
