Content
The course in microeconomics of public choice offers a systematic introduction in the micro-economic toolbox, with special attention to those subjects of interest to the political scientist. We discuss the theory of the consumer and of the producer, market structures. We also offer an introduction to game theory, and to recent developments in micro-economics, especially behavioral economics, experimental economics, and issues relating to public choice and environmental economics. The red thread in our investigations is the notion of the rational economic agent and its critiques.
