Sexe, genre et santé : comprendre les disparités en santé pour mieux prévenir et soigner les patientes et patients.

Master's students will be integrated into a multidisciplinary research team and will be assigned a personal project with requirements that take into account their fluctuating schedule during the academic year. Under my supervision or in co-supervision with other team members, the objective is to carry out a project that leads to a scientific article published in a journal with an impact factor. The possibility is also given to present the results of the project at a national or international conference.

The research focuses on the theme of gender in medicine, particularly in the areas of prevention, cardiovascular disease and primary care medicine.

Students will have the opportunity to work on different types of projects according to their preference and skills as well as to the opportunities and/or needs of the research:
- Analysis of aspects related to sex or gender from existing databases or studies (e.g., male/female difference in weight gain after smoking cessation, impact of sex and gender in cancer screening, etc.).
- Systematic literature review (+/- meta-analysis) on sex and gender aspects in a given discipline (e.g. gender and thoracic surgery, gender and psychiatry,...).
- Qualitative analysis or qualitative exploration (e.g., diabetes experience and chronic diseases)
