Introduction
L'Institut romand des sciences bibliques (IRSB) est un centre d'intérêt romand rattaché à la Faculté de théologie. Il a pour but de développer la recherche et la formation postgrade dans le domaine de la Bible et des écrits qui lui sont proches. Il s'attache à leur environnement historique et à leur interprétation.

Son activité comporte quatre axes principaux:
  1. la recherche et l'enseignement posturale,
  2. la bibliographie biblique informatisée de Lausanne (BiBIL),
  3. les travaux d'édition et de commentaire des textes apocryphes chrétiens dans la Series apocryphorum du Corpus christianorum (Turnhout, Brepols)
  4. la participation aux activités de l'Association pour l'étude de la littérature apocryphe chrétienne (AELAC), dont l'IRSB est un des centres principaux.
