Introduction

The laboratory for the analysis of governance and public policy (LAGAPE) is a research unit within the Institute of Political Studies (Institut d'Etudes Politiques - IEP) of the University of Lausanne. It gathers researchers of the IEP working on decision-making processes and implementation, public policy and regulation, elites, public administration and street-level bureaucracy. The LAGAPE is the largest research center specialized on governance in Switzerland. Several research projects led by its members are carried out thanks to competitive external funding. LAGAPE researchers are actively contributing to scientific debate taking place at the international level. Both early-career and senior researchers present their work in the seminars and conference series of the LAGAPE. In addition, researchers working on related subjects, whether based in other Swiss universities or abroad, are regularly invited in Lausanne to present their work. The LAGAPE also regularly hosts scholars from abroad for visiting stays.
